SHE’S BACK!

You might recollect that it’s been a while since you saw a blog from me, but you might not remember just how long it’s been. In fact, my last blog actually appeared August 1, 2023.
The opening sentence of that blog was, “There comes a day, somewhere in the middle of every woman’s life, when Mother Nature herself stands behind us and wraps her arms around our shoulders, whispering, “It’s time.” This excerpt was from Donna Ashworth’s book, To The Women: Words to live By.  They are from her poem “It’s Time.”

For me, it was time. Time to do the one thing that would have been my one regret if my life were to have prematurely ended … time to write and publish my book. Being the driven, over-achiever that I am prone to be, I knew I had to empty my cup to make way for the many other wonderful experiences that were out there waiting for me.
Did I hang up my coaching/consulting practice? Did I stop working with clients?  Did I say “no” to learning, or to conducting Executive Retreats, or, or, or?

No, I confess that I did not empty the cup completely. How can one turn off the very thing that brings them creativity, joy, and personal satisfaction!!! I took a short sabbatical, became even pickier about the work I chose to do, and learned how to focus at a deeper level … all while writing my first book.

In the last post, I told you that the next blog you would see from me would be announcing that my book had been published. I asked if you would until then, keep me in your thoughts, send lots of positive, productive energy … and that YOU would choose to live, love and do that which makes your heart sing as if there were no tomorrow!

Thank you for doing just that! Many of you have reached out during the book journey to share how you have been living on purpose and doing those things that bring you joy. You also brought words of encouragement and support while inquiring as to the status and gently nudging me to finish the book and re-start my blog.

The good news is that I have been working with some FABULOUS editors! We now have a publish date!
Common Sense Leadership: A Practical Guide to Making Leading and Managing Teams Simple by JM Clark will be available for purchase on Amazon as of January 9.
I am excited to share this book with you and to hear your feedback.

Best Wishes and Stay Tuned! Joan
